Jean-François Argacha is an interventional cardiologist working as Head of Clinic at the Department of Cardiology at UZ Brussel (UZB) of Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). 

He is a Research and Clinical Professor at VUB. Since 2021, he has led the Environmental Cardiology Research Unit at UZB, aiming to develop an exposomic approach to assess the environmental risk of myocardial infarction.​

Andreas Daiber holds a diploma in Chemistry and a PhD in Biochemistry (University of Konstanz 1997 and 2000), did his habilitation (University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf and University Medical Center Mainz 2006), and since 2008 is a full professor in Molecular Cardiology at the University Medical Center Mainz. 

>33 significant research grants from the pharmaceutical industry and public funding bodies. 2011 guest professorship at the Université Joseph Fourier at Grenoble, France. 

From 2014-2016 Chair of COST Action BM1203 (EU-ROS). 

From 2024-2028 Chair of the Rhine-Main excellence network EXPOHEALTH (=exposure health effects). 

From 2025-2028 Coordinator of the EU research consortium MARKOPOLO (=markers of pollution). 

Memberships (e.g. SFRBM/SFRRE, DGK), editorial board positions (Cardiovasc. Res., Antioxidants, FRBM) and full editor (Redox Biology). 

>225 original research articles, >205 review articles, h-index: 84; >21,000 citations (WoS) – h-index: 102; >35,000 citations (google scholar). 

Expertise in redox biochemistry, oxidative stress and environmental research in cardiovascular disease.

Prof dr Paul Dendale is chair of cardiology at the Heart Centre Hasselt, Jessa Hospital. He is past president of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology and professor of CV pathophysiology at the University of Hasselt. His main interests are preventive cardiology, rehabilitation and digital health
