Background     

The Belgian Society of Cardiology (BSC) is the scientific society of Belgian cardiologists promoting research and education in the field of cardiology. It organises an annual scientific meeting at the end of January/beginning of February.

The 33rd annual scientific meeting will be held on 30-31 January 2014, at the SQUARE Brussels Meeting Centre, in central Brussels.
The Belgian Society of Cardiology coordinates the activities of several working groups.  Each group organises congresses and courses throughout the year - please see the calendar of working group meetings.

BSC membership

The BSC currently has 485 members.  Being a member of the BSC entitles you to reduced registration fees for the annual congress, free copies of Acta Cardiologica and, since 1st January 2012, free access to a specially devised section of the Digital Library for Health run by the Belgian Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine (www.cebam.be). This includes access to numerous full text sources such as the American Heart Journal; Circulation; the Journal of the American College of Cardiology; Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases; and the American Journal of Cardiology.
Members of the Belgian Society of Cardiology receive emails alerting them to all working group meetings and other important activities.  In addition, BSC members are automatically members of the ESC and benefit from ESC Membership advantages
